sole sessions reflexology

Maternity Reflexology covers pre-conceptual care, pregnancy, birthing, and postnatal care for mother and baby. For pre-conception or infertility, reflexology aims to encourage a more natural balance, helping the body to be in the best possible condition to conceive. It is extremely relaxing and may have a beneficial effect on stress levels.

During pregnancy, reflexology is a natural therapy helping to support and balance. Sessions are customised to each stage, focusing on relaxing techniques to calm mother and baby, and direct attention to common symptoms of pregnancy. Although there is no evidence that reflexology can induce labour, it helps support the body to prepare for labour and promotes relaxation at a time when anxiety levels are

often high.

Studies have demonstrated that those receiving reflexology during pregnancy may have less pain during labour and shorter birthing with less intervention. Postnatally, reflexology aims to help with sleep and encourage the body to return to its non-pregnant state.

It is best that your obstetric caregiver knows that you are receiving reflexology. Reflexology is a complementary health support and is not a substitute for obstetric or medical care.
